THE BRIEF: 

Happy Cows, in early spring time, that was the brief. Filming took place at 3 farms in the south west, showcasing various breeds and capturing amazing countryside views.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The agency and Waitrose were thrilled with the finished project which was used for tv advertising purposes.

 

THE BRIEF: 

Medilink South West required a video for their very first medical business awards.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The video was a success and I was commissioned for further medical videos within the company.

 

THE BRIEF: 

To produce some internal videos of team members and their roles at Old Mill which will go onto the careers section of their website.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

8 videos successful produced of members of staff in various positions of the company. Concentrating on career progression throughout the company, with self development, training and different routes to career choice with the company!  All of which are on the careers section of the Old Mill website.

 

THE BRIEF: 

Lesley and I were together yet again to produce some ‘tasty videos’ 3 dishes in total.

Delivered deliciously, and what an enjoyable time I had with Lesley yet again.

 

THE BRIEF: 

Griffin NuuMed were about to take supply of a brand new website and their agency advised them to have a video to go with it on the new website.

An explainer video showcasing their wonderful product.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

I produced a delightful and colourful video along with plenty of horses showcasing their products.

After reviews, the video soon gained awareness of the brand and products.

 

THE BRIEF: 

Jigsaw wanted a simple explainer video of their unique ‘Bag In Box’ system.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

I delivered a simple yet effective explainer video for them. The result was, manpower time was being saved, no longer required to spend endless time on the telephone with customers explaining how the system worked, which was a great benefit to the team as a whole!

I was commissioned for a further video which was a general purpose promotional video with a tv presenter, all about the business of Jigsaw.

 

THE BRIEF: 

The restaurant sits on top of Exmoor in West Somerset next to the A39 between Porlock and Lynemouth.

They were looking to gain awareness of their restaurant and promote their exmoor food tours, bringing customers down from London to experience local produce within the local area.

I was tasked to produce three films for the restaurant:

 

  1. Restaurant general promo video
  2. the cookery school
  3. Fish night (Food themed club called PIPS.)

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

I delivered on all counts and I was tasked with a further fourth video in the town of Minehead to film their seafood bar.

Success of all the videos helped increase awareness of the restaurant, growing numbers to the PIPS club.

The general manager really started to utilise social media well within the business showcasing the videos.

 

THE BRIEF: 

Tasked with several projects with the chamber, but this major one was to film two lots of Election Hustings in Taunton and Wells.

The chairman of the chamber also wanted to use the experience to review the way that they ‘present’ themselves from viewing the videos.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The chamber were extremely pleased with the results and booked me in to film their ‘Business’ event and also film a Q & A with the new CEO who came on board later that year.

 

THE BRIEF: 

This was an internal video that I was commissioned to record quarterly with the MD and Assistant MD. The quarterly videos focused on targets and actuals, plus revenue, profit and loss and a general update of the company.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The videos encouraged open communication in this successful business.

Regularly updating all the employees.

 

THE BRIEF: 

The brief was to raise awareness in the South West of the charity and what it stood for, therefore a video was required.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The success of the campaign in its first year was led directly by the video and promoted correctly on social media.

Lesley Waters and I were back again a few months later to record an update of the success of the campaign and I was commissioned for a further two years with the charity.  It was a great success and was launched nationally two years later.

 

THE BRIEF: 

I was commissioned to film Bristol based staff at one of their strategic days to talk about their roles within various companies.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The videos went onto their website helping not only staff but prospectus businesses of how outsourcing and the use of the Intelligent Office can help their business.

 

THE BRIEF: 

I was commissioned to create an explainer video for the hotel.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The video was a success, gaining interest and awareness of the hotel. It was utilised really well on social media with a very good marketing manager working at the hotel.

I was later commissioned again to produce some social media videos.

A year later, I was commissioned yet again to produce a wedding video to help promote this area of the hotels business.

 

THE BRIEF: 

Another video, and another opportunity to work with my favourite tv chef, none other than Lesley Waters.

 

Lesley and I had now been working together for 6 years or so and she is just such a professional and of course talented and great fun to be with. She makes my job a lot easier (although, I don’t tell her that!)

Lesley and I produced some wonderful demos together.

Knowing how she works and vice versa, it’s a great combination for success.

The client was most impressed with the results.

 

THE BRIEF: 

To help Hecks Cider with an online presence with video and to utilise this via their website, YouTube Channel and social media outlets.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

Delivered a short film about the cider farm, the local people that use Hecks Cider, pubs, events and interviews, including lots of cider and food too!

 

THE BRIEF: 

The owners wanted a short film all about their wonderful pub, restaurant and b & b, and for the video to go onto their website.

I was put up overnight prior to filming the next day to sample the delights of the pub, restaurant and have a feel of their B & B experience, which was wonderful.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

I delivered a concept of their business enabling them to promote it and showcase wonderful reviews via Tripadvisor.

The video also showed off the pubs creative young head chef, which also helped when he applied and eventually took part in ‘Masterchef The Professional’, he got as far as the semi finals, which was terrific!

 

THE BRIEF: 

The new landlord and landlady of the Full Quart pub and restaurant required a video to showcase their new South African menu.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

A delicious short film was captured telling the story of the new concept of the Full Quart with their African menu.

A lot of press and social media coverage came from the video awareness of the pubs menu and saw an increase in visitors.

 

THE BRIEF: 

I was asked to produced an informative documentary style video of a local practice. This is being shown on their website and in the waiting room for patients to view.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The positives of this video were complaints had decreased.  This video encouraged awareness of the surgery community which meant patients willing to participate in trials increased greatly. Huge positive reactions from patients meant the surgery community group grew and blossomed.

As a knock on effect the care quality commision gave the surgery top marks for their clinical commision audit, with the surgery and website video playing a major part.

THE BRIEF: 

A year long project, filming with a local farmhouse cider family in South Somerset.

The plan, to raise awareness of the cider producer and to tell their story, get it online and onto Vimeo On Demand.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The feedback about the series was a success. Amazon contacted me about producing the series with them which I did. I re-edited the series to meet Amazon’s demands in terms of legal broadcast, audio and visual tv standards, with additional closed captions for the deaf and hard of hearing, both of which are mandatory with Amazon and Netflix.

The cider family themselves have benefited from an increase of business and awareness from new guests from home and abroad and have opened up a new venture on the cider land!

The video has been seen in over 60 countries around the world.

A Year at Jimmy’s Cider Farm

 

THE BRIEF: 

I had been on the ‘Passport to Export’ scheme for a few years, and was commissioned to produce a video of our team of collective specialists in terms of import and export businesses from across the South West region.

7 short films of UK and global businesses.

THE BRIEF: 

A new scheme to generate help and support for local businesses within the Mendip area. A video to help explain what was on offer to new and existing businesses was commissioned by Strode College and Mendip District Council.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The video was a great success, as a result, regular networking events were held for all the local chambers within the Mendips and new businesses were invited along to participate and gain funding if required and qualified.

Two years later after the first video, I was commissioned to further develop a second video for the scheme.

 

THE BRIEF: 

I was tasked by Old Mill Recruitment department to produce a special video for their careers website.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The video was completed successfully and utilised within the recruitment department.

 

THE BRIEF: 

I was asked to film their annual Dairy Show, which is the UK’s largest dairy show.

No video had been undertaken of this show before and it was felt a presence showcasing this event with video and its benefits on the website was needed.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The result was a pleasing video of the comprehensive trade show with an exhibition of top quality dairy cattle. The show attracts over 300 trade stands from across the country and beyond and with over 250 cattle this show is the place to be seen and visit.

I was also fortunate to film a few testimonial videos with happy customers too.

 

THE BRIEF

The Shed Grill & Seafood Restaurant. Such a joy to film with a talented head chef, cooking up 6 dishes to show off to the world!

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

The video was used via social media outlets and the restaurant’s website to attract customers.

 

THE BRIEF

Having worked with the college in a networking capacity, I was asked to film a French delegation and then a delegation from China.

OUTCOME/BENEFITS:

This formed part of the college education audit, in which they passed successfully.

I was then tasked to film several videos with ex students who undertook the college apprenticeship scheme.
